From Frankfurt Airport
The international airport Frankfurt Rhein-Main is located 25 km (15.5 miles) from Darmstadt. At the airport, regional bus lines depart from arrivals area B at Terminal 1 and arrivals areas D+E at Terminal 2. We recommend the express bus AirLiner (Terminals 1 and 2), which offers a convenient and fast 30-minute connection from the airport to Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof (main station), Luisenplatz and darmstadtium Congress Centre.
From the bus stop at the Frankfurt Airport:
It only takes 30 min to get from the airport to Darmstadtium. Just take the yellow shuttle bus , called "Airliner", which you can find at terminal 1 and 2. Please exit at the last stop "darmstadtium".
ICE, IC and EC trains stop at Darmstadt Station, which means it is very well connected with the German long-distance railway network. There are regional connections (RE and RB trains) with Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Aschaffenburg, Mannheim and Heidelberg as well as Erbach and Eberbach.
From the bus terminal at the central railway station or the bus stop at Rhein-/Neckarstraße in Darmstadt:
Take the bus F/U, Direction: "Oberwaldhaus". Exit stop "Schloß".
From motorway junction 'Autobahnkreuz Darmstadt', follow the signs towards the city centre (Darmstadt/Stadtmitte) on Rheinstraße/B26 into the City-Ring-Tunnel. Follow the signs to the "darmstadtium" or "Aschaffenburg" (B26). After the City-Tunnel turn left at the next traffic light (sign posted)
Drive straight ahead until you reach the 2nd traffic light. On the right you can already see the darmstadtium. Turn right at the traffic light into Alexanderstraße and then at the end of the congress centre turn right into the underground car park.
Here there are a total of 454 parking spaces (Height entrance 1.95 m) available. A further 1,500 spaces are available in connected and neighbouring car parks.
Alternatively at the traffic light at the junction with Alexanderstraße you can also turn left and then right into the car park "Karolinenplatz / Schloss / darmstadtium" just a few metres further on. Follow the signs to the "darmstadtium" in the car park. The car parks are connected.
